Djembe, H 35-38cm
A djembe or jembe is a rope-tuned, skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands. Its characteristic is its strong and deep sound.
Originally came from the Sabar family, from Senegal and now is widely used in West Africa. According to the Bambara people in Mali, the name "djembe" means "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose.
