A method for how to play the Kanonaki. The book describes the theory of the Greek traditional music and the modes of the middle eastern idiom through the Kanonaki instrument. It includes the makams and analyzes the mode plagal of the Byzantium. One of the aspects that focuses is how to build the scales in the Kanonaki instrument in order to learn the tunes. It also includes the analytical presentation of the instrument\'s technique through exercises and examples.
