Ethical concerns have regained a central place in contemporary educational theorizing. Thus, this lecture seeks to stimulate new and needed reflections on all aspects of ethical thinking related to the theory and practice of music teaching and learning. Specifically, care ethical considerations are examined to highlight some of the decisions that teachers, researchers, and teacher educators face daily. In doing so, this lecture develops a foundation for an applied ethics of/for music teaching and learning as ethical praxis.
